Questions
Everything you need to know about Physics GPT, our AI technology, pricing, and how we help you master physics.
General & Getting Started
What is Physics GPT?
Physics GPT is an advanced AI-powered tutoring tool specifically designed for physics education. Unlike general chatbots, our model is trained on millions of physics problems, ensuring high accuracy for mathematical calculations, formula application, and conceptual explanations.
Is Physics GPT free to use?
Yes! We offer a robust Free Tier that allows you to solve standard physics problems and get step-by-step answers. For power users who need unlimited queries, faster response times, and advanced features (like exam generation), we offer a Premium plan.
How do I enter a problem?
You have three options:
- Type it: Enter the text of your problem directly.
- Upload Image: Take a photo or upload a screenshot of your homework.
- Paste URL: (Premium only) Link to a PDF or online problem.
Is there a mobile app for Physics GPT?
Currently, Physics GPT is a fully responsive web application optimized for mobile browsers like Safari and Chrome. You can add it to your home screen for an app-like experience. A native iOS/Android app is coming soon.
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes, you can cancel your Premium subscription instantly via your account dashboard. You will keep your premium access until the end of the current billing period with no hidden fees.
AI Capabilities & Accuracy
How accurate is the AI solver?
Our internal benchmarks show a 95%+ accuracy rate for standard high school and university undergraduate physics problems. We use a hybrid system that combines Large Language Models (LLMs) with symbolic computation engines (like Wolfram Alpha logic) to verify mathematical steps.
Does it handle Calculus-based Physics?
Yes. Physics GPT excels at both Algebra-based physics (AP Physics 1 & 2) and Calculus-based physics (AP Physics C, University Physics). It can perform integration, differentiation, and solve differential equations in the context of physical laws.
Can it read my handwriting?
Our Vision AI is trained on millions of handwritten samples. As long as the handwriting is reasonably legible to a human, Physics GPT can interpret equations, diagrams, and text notes from your photo.
Can it help with Physics Lab reports?
Yes. You can upload experimental data tables or describe your setup. Physics GPT can help perform error analysis, calculate uncertainties, and explain the theoretical concepts needed for your lab report conclusion.
Does it support languages other than English?
Yes, Physics GPT is multilingual. It can solve problems in Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Japanese, and over 50 other languages. The AI will auto-detect your language and reply accordingly.
What if the AI makes a mistake?
While our accuracy is over 95%, AI can occasionally err on highly novel problems. We have a ‘Report Issue’ button on every solution. Our physics experts review flagged answers to continuously retrain and improve the model.
Can PhysicsGPT help with physics research?
Yes, PhysicsGPT acts as a powerful research assistant. It can summarize academic papers, verify equation derivations, explain complex theories, and help with coding simulations (Python/MATLAB). However, it cannot conduct original experiments or generate novel empirical data.
Learning & Academic Integrity
Is using Physics GPT cheating?
Physics GPT is a learning tool. If you use it to simply copy answers for a graded assignment, that is academic dishonesty. However, if you use it to understand how to solve a problem, verify your own work, or explain a concept you missed in class, it is a powerful 24/7 tutor. We encourage active learning.
Does it show the steps or just the answer?
We always prioritize the “Step-by-Step” approach. Physics GPT breaks down the problem into: identifying variables, selecting formulas, algebraic manipulation, and final calculation. The goal is to teach you the methodology.
